​​​​The AHA's ACLS Program delivers a dynamic message of hope - the hope of saving lives through CPR and advanced cardiovascular training. The training is designed for healthcare professionals who either direct or participate in the management of cardiopulmonary arrest and other cardiovascular emergencies.

The American Heart Association takes its lifesaving training beyond domestic borders to increase the chain of survival around the globe. The International Training Centres, in 84 countries, are supported by a strong instructor network, staff, and consultants.

This course is for healthcare professionals who either direct or participate in the management of cardiopulmonary arrest or other cardiovascular emergencies. This includes personnel in emergency response, emergency medicine, intensive care and critical care units such as physicians, nurses, and paramedics, as well as others who need an ACLS certification and is within current scope of practice.

​Study Pathways

AHA ACLS qualification may provide you with credits towards Bachelor degrees at Australian Universities with many students continuing with their pre-hospital care knowledge and training and moving into more advanced areas of study as a natural progression.

Course Objectives

​Upon successful course completion, including demonstration of skills competency in all learning stations and passing the CPR and AED skills test, bag-mask ventilation skills test, a Mega code test and a written test, students receive an ACLS course completion card, valid for two years.

Entry Requirements

​Suitable for Diploma of Paramedical Science and above.
