Good mental health is a sense of well-being and self-esteem, enabling us to enjoy and appreciate other people, our day-to-day life and our environment.
Without understanding how mental health issues can occur, how to recognise them and what to do if somebody is experiencing them, it can be hard to actively combat the problem. For this reason, we developed a half day program, aiming to educate people towards greater support and understanding amongst co-workers, peers and the community as a whole.
About the ABC awareness program
Our program was developed to tackle the significant findings of the Education and Health Standing Committee investigating ‘The impact of FIFO work practices on mental health’. The course specifically targets the workers, supervisors and managers mentioned in the enquiry, but is customisable to any workplace and the general community.
